Attention Freelance Writers!
As an affiliate who is always expanding his reach on the web, I am often left with the challenge of producing large amounts of quality content in a somewhat timely manner. Like many other affiliates, I outsource some writing to freelance writers.
Qualifications
I prefer any writer interested in this to at least be able to write on a college level. The great thing about writing for the web is that the style of writing can be more laid back and personal than a formal document. Readers usually skim over web content and prefer to have it broken up into easily digestible chunks. Writing online content is much easier than writing for print.
An understanding of grammar and punctuation is a must. I also require writers to be able to write fluently in English. I usually go by the phrase, “If it doesn’t flow then it has to go”.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking you must be a professional writer to get paid. Many of the writers I deal with are college students or stay at home moms looking to make some extra money in their free time. All I ask is for the writing to be top notch, original, and well researched.
The people who do the best are self motivated, creative minds. The less guidance needed the better. In a perfect world I would give you some topics, a few examples, tell you what I was looking for in terms of length, and leave it at that.
Pay
Writers are paid via PayPal when the work is complete. I don’t pay in advance with writers that I have never worked with. I can provide a list of references if you don’t trust me.
Rates are decided upon when looking at the size of the project and the writers skill/experience.
What to Expect
Writers can expect to be given several topics about a subject, and are expected to produce a quality article about each topic provided. Deadlines are usually set in advance by the writer and then agreed upon.

Disclaimer: If you plan on attempting to pass off someone else’s work as your own then please do not waste my time. It is very easy to detect a duplicate or spun articles. Content theft will not be tolerated. As a freelance writer you give me all rights to the work produced. Some may see this as odd, but as a webmaster I can be greatly effected by duplicate content (that same article on another site). There are a lot of shady people out there whose sole purpose in life are to see how many people they can rip off. I receive all rights on the work produced to protect myself. Besides… do you really want the rights to a boring 500 word article about an online poker room or casino? ![]()
